GOD this reminds me of my Froud cards (more specifically "Himself").

The eyebrows, and the ears, and the glowy eyes and the colors!

... I'm babbling! But I liiiiike it. It's very much on par with the whole pop fantasy art you see these days but I'd say you have a good hail back to ye old days when things like Dark Cystal and DnD were just becoming popular.
